Our MD is Sleeping 'Rough' for Charity

Set up in 2013, CEO Sleepout is a charity set up to fight homelessness and poverty with money and awareness raised through CEO Sleepout events each year.

Taking place in 13 locations across the UK, the event is designed to tackle the issue of homelessness directly, giving influential local business professionals the chance to experience sleeping ‘rough’ for just one night.

Homelessness is an issue which is often ignored and in the last six years, every day there are at least five new rough sleepers to the streets of Manchester alone and this year our Managing Director, Stephen Peal is doing his bit and heading along to Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester to take part in the CEO Sleepout. With just a sleeping bag in tow, Stephen is delighted to be part of the event on the 4th of November and aims to raise awareness of the cause; and he is hoping to bring funding and opportunity directly to those who need it.

We asked Stephen Peal for his thoughts prior to the event "I stumbled across this initiative online and felt compelled to get involved. I'm not really sure what to expect from the event and I do not know anyone that has done this before. What I do know is that homelessness is a growing problem in the UK and I can be as guilty as most by walking by and not acknowledging or helping those less fortunate when rushing about town. I see this as a small gesture (although I may be underestimating the challenge), but I hope that people will support me by sharing this story, donating to my page or even just by acknowledging the next person they see sleeping 'rough' by perhaps buying them a drink"
