Parts Supervisor

Main purpose of the job:

The Parts Adminstrator supports and works closely with PPSPower's Parts Supervisor ensuring a high level of service to all customers both internal and external. This two person team’s main purpose is to identify the correct parts required from engineer comments and procure them efficiently from PPSPower’s supplier base. The team also helps the sales team by identifying the costs of parts required to provide quotations and the time it would take to obtain these parts so that customer expectations can be managed. Selecting, packing and distributing parts to engineers and depots will also be a regular team task.

Main Duties:
  • Identifying and providing costs for diesel generator & fire pump parts.

  • Ordering parts from PPSPower’s supplier base.

  • Challenging and developing PPSPower’s supplier base to ensure value for money.

  • Maintain records on both the sales and operations IT systems.

  • Selecting, packing and delivering parts to multiple UK locations.

  • Receiving and dealing with emails.

  • Supporting the overall team in delivering a high level of customer service in fast paced environment.

Qualifications:

Maths & English - GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C

Remuneration

£16k pa + company bonus

  • Fork Lift Truck Licence - desirable.

  • Good IT skills (Office, Database etc…)

  • A technical/mechanical aptitude is also an advantage but not essential.

  • Strong customer service background or aptitude.

  • Sound relationship building skills with the engineering team and service departments.

  • Cross-discipline team working.

  • Can demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations.

  • Excellent time management and personal organisational skills.

  • Ability to work to deadlines.
