Booking Our Visit
PPSPower have a team of five in the service control team their is a controller for the engineers in the south and one for the engineers in the north (including Scotland). We also have a Service Administrator a Project Manager and this team is managed by our Service Supervisor.
The regional service controller arranges the engineers visit with the given site contact, this is often (but not always) through a facilities management company.
Once this appointment is agreed the job is confirmed onto the engineers PDA with clear instructions on what they need to complete and what parts & tools will be required.
A risk and method statement is agreed with the engineer and site. This is sent prior to our visit and reviewed by the engineer when he arrives on site.
All PPSPower engineers have PDA's or Tablets that arrange their work load and give them instruction.
After booking on to site and carrying out their initial health & safety checks they look to their device for guidance. On a service visit the PDA/Tablet takes them through a work flow designed for the equipment they are servicing ensuring nothing is missed and any faults are reported and noted clearly.
Once the works are completed the engineer will look for the given site contact to check his work and sign the PDA/Tablet to say that the works are completed and that site has been left clean and tidy.
Example reports are detailed below (with all contact details removed):
